This season, first-time participants will join our Entrepreneurship 101. Alumnae will take part in our Commerce Connections workshop. Both workshops will take place in person at Pillar Cowork in Lafayette on October 19. Upon completion of their respective workshop, participants may take part in our Winter Pop-up in Lafayette.

In Entrepreneurship 101, participants will be:

Curious about what it’s really like to run your own business? In this 90-minute workshop, you’ll get the inside scoop from members of the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce. Local entrepreneurs will share their stories—the wins, the struggles, and the surprising lessons they’ve learned along the way. A lively panel and Q&A will spark ideas, give you practical tips, and let you ask the questions you actually want answered.

This year’s Winter Pop-up will take place in the heart of downtown Lafayette, in a lively, walkable retail space that’s perfect for holiday shopping. Our cozy market will create a festive and memorable selling experience for our young entrepreneurs. Because the venue has a smaller footprint, sellers will be scheduled in two shifts, and physical space will be a bit more limited than in past events.

Two shifts available:

Day 1 - Saturday, December 6th from 1:00 - 4:00 PM
-
Day 2 - Sunday, December 7th from 1:00 - 4:00 PM

Participants will:
-
Actively promote our Winter Pop-up Shop to ensure a bustling marketplace
-
Produce between 25 - 50 pieces of inventory
-
Merchandise and staff a table with their own one-of-a-kind products or services
-
Pitch their products to shoppers during our Pop-up Shop
-
Fund their business endeavor and keep 100% of their profits (Tuition should not be deducted when calculating profit * )

OUR PROGRAM: ​

Participation in our 2025 Winter workshops is required in order to take part in our Winter Pop-up Shop on December 6 & 7. No exceptions.

Business experience is not required for our program, however participants should have a well-honed business idea if they wish to take part in the Winter Pop-up.

Business expenses are the sole responsibility of the participant
-
We promote our pop-up shops via social media promotions, email marketing, online advertising, local publications, and local associations to ensure that we bring out as many shoppers as we possibly can! We ask all of our participants to also promote the pop-up shop within their schools, clubs, community organizations, friends, family, and neighbors
CONSIDERATIONS FOR OUR WINTER 2025 POP-UP SHOP

We pour our hearts into making our pop-up shops a success—and we need your help too! Please come ready to share your business with enthusiasm and adapt to whatever comes our way, whether it’s rain, wind, nearby competitors, or other surprises. Your kindness, teamwork, and positive spirit make all the difference.

Your child will be expected to actively manage their table during their shift. Participants should consider enlisting the help of a friend or family member while they take breaks.

Payment method options for customers are at the sole discretion of the participant. Card readers and accounts must be set up in advance of the pop-up shop, as there is no guarantee of wi-fi availability during our pop-up shop.

Participants manage their own finances and are entitled to their profit; Girls Crushing It does not take a commission on sales

​LOGISTICS FOR OUR POP-UP

This event will be held indoors, rain or shine. Refunds will not be issued for weather-related cancellations.
-
Tables are pre-assigned, and while we make every effort to accommodate special requests, it’s just not always possible. We will not be able to accommodate requests to move tables on the day of the event.

Parking: There is a metered parking lot at 3503 Golden Gate Way, Lafayette, CA 94549. There is also metered street parking behind Pillar as well surrounding the Lafayette Library along Golden Gate.

$250 (Due to rising costs and a challenging fundraising environment for nonprofits, we have increased our fee to help ensure the sustainability of our critical programming.)

SOLO BUSINESS OWNERS

Register for ONLY ONE of the options below.

SIBLING BUSINESS PARTNERS

A parent/guardian can register up to two siblings at once if they choose the same option.

If siblings want a different option, they must be registered separately.

NON-SIBLING BUSINESS PARTNERS

Each partner must be registered separately.​

Make sure to sign up for the same shift as your partner(s).

For this season, businesses will be limited to (2) partners due to space constraints.
ADDITIONAL SHIFTS

Additional shifts may be released by Girls Crushing It at a later date and on a first come, first served basis.
