Girls Crushing It (GCI) is thrilled to be partnering with leadership and communication experts, Berkeley Executive Coaching Institute (BECI) for our first workshop of the year. BECI is responsible for training some of the Bay Area's top executives as well as some of the best and brightest minds at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business.
​
We're also partnering with local fashion studio, SewNow, to present a fashion show during our Spring Pop-up Shop which will showcase girlpreneur products from our pop-up shop.
​
Spring Registration is $60 per child and helps to offset a portion of the costs of programming. Registration includes the following:
1. Spring Workshop Day on Sunday, March 24​​ (Workshop participation is a prerequisite for participation in our Spring Pop-up Shop)

2. Girlpreneur Social and Fashion Show Styling Session Sunday, April 14​

WORKSHOP A: Pop-up Shop 101​

This orientation is designed for girls who have never participated in a Girls Crushing It pop-up shop.
In this workshop, participants and their parent/chaperone will:

Learn the logistics involved in a pop-up shop

Learn the fundamentals of developing a business planning, including product development, pricing strategies, inventory etc.

Have the opportunity to ask questions related to starting their business and supporting their girlpreneur
​

WORKSHOP B: Building Your Brand Through Storytelling
(REQUIRED FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS; girls will be broken out by age)

Google's Project Aristotle revealed that the top characteristics among its most successful leaders were soft skills, such as communication, empathy and emotional intelligence. Building Your Brand Through Storytelling is designed to equip participants with skills that will help their audience relate, understand, and connect to the speakers in a way that facts and numbers alone cannot.
In this workshop, participants will:

Incorporate the "deep and brief" communication technique while delivering the heart of their message

Identify personal strengths and areas for improvements in communication

WORKSHOP C: A Girlpreneur's Guide to Financial Literacy

Who hasn't heard their child say, "Of course you have money​ -- just go to the ATM or use your credit card"? We listened to your feedback, and Girls Crushing It is proud to be partnering with Maria Barak to deliver an age-appropriate and fun financial literacy workshop tailored to your girlpreneur.

In this workshop, participants will learn the:

Fundamentals of banking and how debit and credit cards work

Importance of saving, investing and giving back

The Girlpreneur Social will include:

Nibbles, music and games

Styling session with one of Sew Now's fashion designers/models. If your daughter's product lends itself to being worn or showcased on the runway, bring it! We'll pair her up with a model who will wear their merchandise in our fashion show during the pop-up shop.​
