CAREFULLY REVIEW THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION

REGISTRATION PROCESS *NEW FOR FALL* :

  • Our Fall Pop-up at Lafayette Art & Wine Festival is a 2-day event. Each business may sign up for only one 4-hour shift.

  • You may indicate on your registration form if you would like to sign up for more than one shift. Additional shifts may be assigned if space permits. Additional shifts will be assigned on a first come, first served basis using the timestamp on your registration form.

TUITION:

Tuition for this program is $90 per child.

* Girls Crushing It is an educational nonprofit. Unlike a craft fair, your tuition/registration fee covers our entrepreneurship programming i.e. curriculum development, instructors etc. The Pop-up Shop is an optional, free event for participants to gain practical experience. As such, tuition should not be deducted when calculating your child's profit.

CONSIDERATIONS:

  • This program is geared for ages 8 - 17

  • Your child will be expected to actively manage their table during their shift. Due to the extended duration of a shift, participants should consider enlisting the help of a friend or family member while they take breaks.

  • Business experience is not required to apply for this program, however applicants should have a well-honed business idea

  • Drop-off is strictly prohibited for the Fall Pop-up Shop; Parent/guardian must remain on site at all times

  • We are unable to accommodate businesses selling food

  • Business expenses are the sole responsibility of the participant

  • Participants will be expected to follow all applicable Covid-19 protocols and mandates in effect during the time of the event

LOGISTICS

  • This event will be held outdoors. Although your child's table will be within the footprint of a tent, there may be environmental factors such as sun and wind. Please plan accordingly.

  • The Girls Crushing It Fall Pop-up Shop will be stationed near the intersection of Mt. Diablo Blvd. and Oak Hill Rd. This prime location is at the entrance of the Lafayette Art & Wine Festival and adjacent to carnival-style games, so we anticipate a lively atmosphere with ample foot traffic.

  • Parking: park at Lafayette BART and walk down Oak Hill Road, which is approximately .3 miles/7-minute walk. We recommend using a wagon or wheeled bag to transport your products and supplies.

WE PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING TO EACH BUSINESS FOR THE FALL POP-UP SHOP:
